COURSE DESCRIPTION* COURSE LENGTH: 16 hours June 17-18, 2025
This course is structured to offer fundamental training on the definition of cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies, identifying and accessing storage locations, and developing the basic skills and techniques essential to investigators handling cryptocurrency cases.
Objective Level: Awareness: Attendees will learn how the dark web works, the various dark nets, and other elements of cybercrime.
Operations: Fundamentals of conducting dark web investigations, understanding cryptocurrency and investigating transactions, and understanding various elements of cybercrime.
Tactical/Technician: Best practices for undercover purchases, setting up cryptocurrency wallets, “VoIP backstopping,” and using Android emulation software.
Full-Scale Scenario: Real cases involving dark web-sourced narcotics will be displayed.
